Where
Connection
Becomes Care.
A nonprofit focused on prevention, helping teens build resilience through relationships, support, and community.

About Us.
The Ryan Bartel Foundation (RBF) is a Loudoun-based nonprofit serving teens and families across Northern Virginia during a time when many young people are struggling with stress, anxiety, loneliness, and pressure to fit in.
Unlike emergency and clinical services that intervene during a crisis, we focus on prevention — creating supportive spaces where young people ages 12–18 can build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop healthy coping skills before challenges escalate.
Founded in 2015, RBF was created to help address growing gaps in youth mental health support by providing free or low-cost programs for teens from diverse backgrounds and needs. Since then, we have supported thousands of young people through experiences that foster connection, confidence, belonging, and emotional wellness.
Our Mission.
In honor of Ryan’s memory, our mission is to create supportive spaces where young people find belonging, connection, and hope while building lifelong tools for resilience and wellness that protect against self-harm.

Our Vision.
We envision a future where every young person has access to safe, supportive communities, trusted relationships, and practical tools for mental wellness.
A Center Of Excellence In Youth Mental Wellness.
