Each year we award several graduating high school seniors $1,000 each for demonstrating Acceptance of Others. The award must be used against tuition in a place of further education. Students in every school trained in Sources of Strength are eligible for this award and nominations can be made by other students from any grade. Please download full list of nominating criteria and nomination form. Deadline for nominations is April 30th every year.

Emily Beach

Woodgrove High School, Loudoun, VA

Emily will serve as an assistant teacher at a middle school in Idaho for the upcoming school year, and then plans on attending a four year college to study social work. She hopes to pursue an occupation in a field where she can help others who are suffering to understand their emotions and mental state of health.


Brianna Plumhof

Woodgrove High School, Loudoun, VA

Brianna will be attending Longwood University to study Kineisology. She hopes to become a Physical Therapist specializing in Special Education.

Sarah Gaston

Heritage High School, Loudoun, VA

Sarah will be attending Christopher Newport University pursuing the pre-med track. Sarah hopes to become an occupational therapist.

Nathan Oakley

Loudoun Valley High School, Loudoun, VA

Nathan attended Northern Virginia Community College and is now training with the Ford Motor Company in the Ford ASSET Program in Baltimore, MD.  His goal is to achieve Certified Master Auto Technician.

Trey Rustand

Woodgrove High School, Loudoun, VA

Trey is attending Virginia Military Institute for his four year Bachelor's degree and plans to major in Business Studies.

Sarah is attending Northern Virginia Community College and plans to transfer to Radford University for her Bachelor's degree in Nursing, specializing in Labor and Delivery.

Alex Rivera

Woodgrove High School, Loudoun, VA

Alex studies at Northern Virginia Community College and hopes to transfer to George Mason University for his Bachelor's degree in Psycholoy. He hopes to become either a Counselor or a Therapist.

Maddie Salahi

Woodgrove High School, Loudoun, VA

Maddie has attended Northern Virginia Community College and is about to transfer to James Madison University for a Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing.
