Building Belonging Together
Connection is not abstract. It is transformative.
It is the difference between isolation and belonging. Silence and being heard. Struggle and hope.
Together, we are creating communities where young people feel seen, supported, and connected. This is what we gather to build.
A Musical Expression of Connection
We are honored to welcome back Jordan Bartel and friends, returning this year as an octet, performing Felix Mendelssohn’s Octet in E-flat major, Op. 20.
Written when Mendelssohn was just 16, this extraordinary work was composed not for one ensemble, but for two string quartets—distinct groups designed to meet, respond, and intertwine.
In performance, something remarkable happens:
-
Voices remain distinct, yet deeply connected
-
Themes pass back and forth in dialogue
-
Eight musicians create one sweeping, unified sound
It is music built on connection—call and response, individuality and unity, tension and harmony.
A living reminder that we are strongest not alone, but together.

Why It Matters
Connection is one of the strongest protective factors in a young person’s life.
When teens feel seen, supported, and connected, everything changes—hope returns, confidence grows, and possibility opens.
Your presence helps make that possible.
